Over a month and a half, I researched articles exploring the origin and concept of ASMR, as well as so-called "ASMRtists," internet personalities who create videos for the purpose of stimulating the ASMR response in their viewers through the use of highly polished video and binaural audio.
This video is a compilation of my clips and research, along with my own theories of why ASMR has exploded as a phenomenon in the fast-paced digital era. All ASMRtists have been credited in the video.
